Think about answering these questions monthly to keep yourself on course.
- Where are you? (Gen 3:9) – How is your relationship with the Lord?
- Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from? What have you done? (Gen 3:11, 13) – How do you react when called out for your sin?
- Where have you come from and where are you going? (Gen 16:8) – Where is your spiritual life heading?
- Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? (2 Ki 1:3) – Do you turn to God or somewhere else when you need help?
- What more could I have done for My vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes? (Isa 5:4) – Are you bearing good or worthless fruit to God?
- Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Mt 6:25) – Do you have proper priorities in life?
- Why are you bothering this woman? (Mt 26:10) – Are you a pain or discouraging to other believers?
- Haven’t you read? (Mk 12:10) – Are you reading the Bible regularly?
- Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say? (Lk 6:46) – Do you follow and live by God’s Word?
Think about answering these questions to know yourself better and learn how to improve.
- Why are you angry? (Gen 4:6) – When you’re angry ask yourself, “Why are you angry?” and “Is it right to be angry?”.
- Would you really challenge My justice? Would you declare Me guilty to justify yourself? (Job 40:8) – Do you question God’s goodness, justice, or holiness? Do you ever do it to justify yourself?
- Do you not fear Me? (Jer 5:22) – Do you have a fearful and reverent awe of God?
- Why are you fearful, you of little faith? (Mt 8:26) – Do you let fear interfere with your faith?
- You of little faith, why do you doubt? (Mt 14:31) – Do you doubt God will empower you to do what He wants you to do?
- And why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition? (Mt 15:31) – Do you have traditions that violate God’s Word?
- What are all your sacrifices to Me? (Isa 1:11) – You are a sacrifice to God. Are you pure, are you giving Him good sacrifices or lame ones, are your motives good?
- Where are the nine? Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner? (Lk 17:17) – Do you thank God for what He’s done and does for you?
- So why were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?” (Num 12:1-8) – Do you speak sinfully about other believers?
- Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand? (Mk 4:21) – Are you outspoken about your faith and living a holy life so God can be glorified?
- Were they ashamed when they acted so abhorrently? (Jer 6:15) – Are you ashamed of your sin?
