This series of devotionals looked at God’s grace and the blessings through the acts He’s performed for all His children. Here is a summary of what we’ve discussed:
- God drew you to Jesus and revealed Him to you (Jn 6:44; Mt 16:15-17)
- God chose you to be His child (1 Jn 3:1)
- God made you His possession (Ac 20:28; 1 Cor 6:20; Ti 2:14; 1 Pe 2:9-10)
- God saved you (Jn 3:14-18; 1 Pe 1:8; Eph 2:8)
- God has removed, forgotten, and cleansed your sin (Ps 103:12; Heb 10:17; Isa 1:18)
- God has purified you (Ti 2:14, 3:4-7; Heb 1:3)
- God has clothed you in His righteousness (Gal 3:27; Eph 4:24; Rom 3:22; Rom 5:1)
- God made you a new creation, you are different now (2 Cor 5:17; Rom 6:4; 1 Cor 6:9-11)
- God has given you access to Himself (Rom 5:1-2)
- God guards, protects, and ensures your salvation (1 Pe 1:5; Jude 1:24)
- Blessings from ‘believing’ found in the book of John
That is just the tip of the iceberg of universal blessings God pours out to His children described in Scripture. God’s blessings don’t end in the descriptions of Scripture. Each of us has a unique life where God is personally involved in our lives:
The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Ps 46:7)
This I know, that God is for me. (Ps 56:9b)
I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. (Ps 57:2)
Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—He is the one who gives power and strength to his people. (Ps 68:35)
God is with you, God is for you, God works in you to accomplish good things, and He gives you power and strength.
Take time out periodically in your life to think about what God has done in your life. Think about the things He’s done in Scripture for you and think about your personal God experiences and blessings.
Thank, praise, and appreciate what God has done and does for you. He is loving and gracious to you. Show your appreciation.
