Here is a summary of the questions from God that we’ve been looking at over the past few weeks.

Try answering these questions periodically to keep yourself on course spiritually.

  • Where are you? (Gen 3:9) – How is your relationship with the Lord?
  • Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from? What have you done? (Gen 3:11, 13) – How do you react when called out for your sin?
  • Where have you come from and where are you going? (Gen 16:8) – Where is your spiritual life heading?
  • Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? (2 Ki 1:3) – Do you turn to God or somewhere else when you need help?
  • What more could I have done for My vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes? (Isa 5:4) – Are you bearing good or worthless fruit to God?
  • Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Mt 6:25) – Do you have proper priorities in life?
  • Why are you bothering this woman? (Mt 26:10) – Are you a pain or discouraging to other believers?
  • Haven’t you read? (Mk 12:10) – Are you reading the Bible regularly?
  • Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say? (Lk 6:46) – Do you follow and live by God’s Word?
  • Why are you angry? (Gen 4:6) – When you’re angry ask yourself, “Why are you angry?” and “Is it right to be angry?”.
  • Would you really challenge My justice? Would you declare Me guilty to justify yourself? (Job 40:8) – Do you question God’s goodness, justice, or holiness? Do you ever do it to justify yourself?
  • Do you not fear Me? (Jer 5:22) – Do you have a fearful and reverent awe of God?
  • Why are you fearful, you of little faith? (Mt 8:26) – Do you let fear interfere with your faith?
  • You of little faith, why do you doubt? (Mt 14:31) – Do you doubt God will empower you to do what He wants you to do?
  • And why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition? (Mt 15:31) – Do you have traditions that violate God’s Word?
  • What are all your sacrifices to Me? (Isa 1:11) – You are a sacrifice to God. Are you pure, are you giving Him good sacrifices or lame ones, are your motives good?
  • Where are the nine? Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner? (Lk 17:17) – Do you thank God for what He’s done and does for you?
  • So why were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”  (Num 12:1-8) – Do you speak sinfully about other believers?
  • Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand? (Mk 4:21) – Are you outspoken about your faith and living a holy life so God can be glorified?
  • Were they ashamed when they acted so abhorrently? (Jer 6:15) – Are you ashamed of your sin?

Tomorrow we’ll be starting a new devotional series on the acts God has performed for us. The purpose is to get us thinking about God’s mercy, grace, and work in our lives so we can more deeply appreciate, praise, thank and honor Him.
