Scripture encourages you to examine yourself:

Now, the Lord of Hosts says this: “Think carefully about your ways: You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough to be satisfied. You drink but never have enough to become drunk. You put on clothes but never have enough to get warm. The wage earner puts his wages into a bag with a hole in it.” The Lord of Hosts says this: “Think carefully about your ways. (Hag 1:5-7)

A great way to examine yourself is by answering some questions God asked in the Bible. When God asks people a question, He does not ask because He doesn’t know the answer, He asks to help the person understand or learn something about themself, Him, their faith, people, or many other things.

This study looks at questions God asked people in Scripture. Think about them and answer them yourself. I believe these specific questions are ones you should ask yourself regularly. As you think about them, pray for God’s help with the process:

Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord. (Lam 3:40)

Test me, Lord, and try me; examine my heart and mind. (Ps 26:2)

23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way. (Ps 139:23-24)
