24 The God who made the world and everything in it—He is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. 25 Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things. (Acts 17:24-25)

For just as the Father has life in Himself, so also He has granted to the Son to have life in Himself. (Jn 5:26)

25 Long ago You established the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. 26 They will perish, but You will endure; all of them will wear out like clothing. You will change them like a garment, and they will pass away. (Ps 102:25-26)

The Lord is self-sufficient!

10 for every animal of the forest is Mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know every bird of the mountains, and the creatures of the field are Mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and everything in it is Mine. (Ps 50:10-12)

Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house could you possibly build for Me? And what place could be My home? My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the Lord’s declaration. (Isa 66:1-2)

What does it mean that God is self-sufficient? Name same ways God is self-sufficient.

Are you truly self-sufficient? Can you keep yourself alive, healthy, perfectly safe?

Does God need you?

Why do you think God wants you even though He doesn’t need you?

Knowing He’s self-sufficient and doesn’t need you, why do you think He died for you?

Why do you think He wants you to be with Him if He doesn’t need you?
